Those short & cute yellow minions really caught my attention
when they played the trailer on TV. At that point of time, I knew I was going to catch the movie. After I did so today with June, I stopped complaining about the $14 it costs per ticket. Oh yeah, I caught it in 3D of course.
In his conquest to dominate the world by stealing the moon, this supposedly super-villian crosses paths with an arch-enemy, more evil then he is. Along the storyline, he adopts 3 little girls and takes on his paternal instincts, slowly developing a strong emotional bond with his "daughters" and entailing a heart-warming scenario. Agnes, the youngest of the 3 girls [played by Elsie Fisher] is awesome sweet and adorable, and carries one of the strongest tag-lines in this movie; "It's so Fluffy!!!"
The movie was loaded with hilarious scenes throughout, never a dull moment. For those who think it's just another childish animation, you may be utterly wrong. Grown ups would love this movie too. In fact, the theater was almost full and I didn't really see much children. Unless you still have a hard time dying to mature mentally, or want to act like an adult, you should catch it, whichever way you would like. I'll recommend on the big screen of course, simply because you wouldn't be able to catch it in 3D anywhere else at this stage. This feature really brings out the movies and elevates it to a new dimension.
I'm supposed to touch on some primers about watching 3D films, but I'm too tired to carry on for now. If you are still not eager to watch this movie, I've embedded the trailer below for your enjoyment. Go ahead, it wouldn't kill you to give yourself 2 minutes plus of your life.
